Over 12 years in the making, In the Box is finally becoming a reality! With much deliberating and a ton of support the video series begins Friday January 6, 2023 - and is scheduled to release a new video every week! Primarily focusing on the constant mail packages that arrive nearly daily. We hope as the series progresses and gains enough viewers we can expand and add some extra content and bonuses. For more info check out the In the Box section and come along for the ride of collecting!
It takes a lot of time to sort and prepare the cards we have at our disposal. But we love it! Recently, new listings have been going up while others only needed a quantity change. However, we still wanted to focus on one thing: promotions!
It's been a minute since the last entry. We've been quite fortunate and made some new connections and found some new "suppliers"; it's made for some exciting times for us! Lately it's been suggested more and more that we create a video series sharing the shipments we receive and stories. Although it would give an outlet to talk cards but currently a few things still need to be looked over before we even consider such thing.
With so many channels out there for group, box and case breaks - we'd be focused on mail day packages so it may not be everyones cup-of-tea. Although it's an unpopular opinion; the hobby doesn't strictly have to focus on highend - so many cards are overlooked. So that's my hook; glorify the cards that rarely are! If this project does happen that is what anyone can expect despite the norm "cookie-cutter" series'.
Hello fellow hobbyists,
some of you may not be aware of the reasoning behind the lack of newer listings over the passed several months.
To make a long story short; some changes needed to be made in the backend of the site. And with those changes we were also able to correct some errors to some listings (wrong images, misspelled titles etc.). Although the majority of these errors are fixed - there are still several thousand that need to be looked over. As they are corrected they are re-added to the site. A bit more time needs to be focused on this before we can fully get back at 'full tilt'!
Aside from such task, some space has also been taken up! Inventory did not stop coming through and things are getting back to par each day.
With that said, expect to see new listings popping up again from various vendor accounts. We're super excited to dive into everything!!
What's new with the site? I thought... I'll just jot those ideas and thoughts here. :)
I Now, it has been quite some time since our last entry - I admit this section took a backseat while many things have been getting done and trust me... there's always something to do!
Firstly; the increased traffic to the site is great and we couldn't be any more excited about it! And to all those who have ordered from the marketplace we can't thank you enough. We are beyond grateful!
To be totally transparent; we have been weighing the pros and cons of some things on the marketplace. Some minor and others not so much. Some of those 'things' focuses on whether or not we should reboot the Rewards program and having more promotions. But for something like this we started to focus on the following...
Currently the marketplace is made available for anyone to sell their cards. And in recent developments several sellers have entrusted us to fulfill their orders on their behalf. However, we've had some feedback and it appears that we are being asked to consider changing our platform from a multi-vendor marketplace to a single-vendor site. This would enable us (Fanatic Collectibles) to team-up with a few supportive sellers, that already have a 'neverending' supply of cards, and make their singles available on the site for purchase! Exciting as this would be it would also eliminate having to deal with multiple vendors and creating seperate orders. It would also enable the marketplace to be updated (nearly) every single day with new cards.
We have been working along side a few sellers by assisting with their listings and specific preferences. These same vendors have populated the site with their inventory and have helped jumpstart the FC website. We are grateful for it.
At this time, these are not set-in-stone plans but we will see how things play out.
It has been so hectic that News updates took a back seat. So what have we been up to?
Several changes, actually.
As you have probably seen - we have added the Buck Bin to the roster of sections. Where all cards starting at $1 or less are all in one section and easily rummage through using the filters. (Of course cards are only added at the discrestion of the seller.)
We have also linked to PriceGuide.cards to help along with pricing your cards. What really stuck out with this site is how it's not limited to just sold listings from the past 90 days. It keeps the sold listings history. Very useful site! I personally thank Tom for all his hard work and dedication to his website.
We are also prepping for our 2nd year of Card of the Day on our Instagram. A new design has been decided on for our 2021 series!
We have also jumped onto Twitter, so we hope to tweet and connect with others!
Our curiousity got the better of us - so we have compiled a survey that we hope will help us along with the future development of FC!
Several updates are yet to come - some will be noticable - others not-so-much. All the while gradually trying to get our brand "out there."
In late 2019, we jumpstarted our Instagram account and on January 1, 2020 we started posting a Card of the Day; where we highlight a player and the set it was released - slowly those hearts (likes) started to come through. Suddenly, in mid-February, we went from 7 followers to over 80 in a few short weeks! In return, we have followed back many whom follow us! Thanks for all your support!
